No London airport has a free forecourt, but most have a free pickup zone with a shuttle. Gatwick and Luton give 2 hours free in Long Stay, Stansted 60 minutes in Mid Stay, and Heathrow 30 minutes free at the Park & Ride. London City and Southend have no free option.
A flat £7 per entry at any terminal forecourt, paid online by midnight the next day. Avoid it by using the Park & Ride, free for the first 30 minutes.
The forecourt is £10 for 10 minutes. The free option is the Long Stay car park — free for up to 2 hours with a free shuttle. Gatwick has no free mid-stay.
Park in the airport's free zone (a mid/long-stay car park with a free 10–90 minute window and shuttle) and collect from there. At London City and Southend, meet them and travel out together on the DLR or train.
Newcastle, with 90 minutes free at the Callerton Parkway waiting zone.
Work back from landing: ~6 min taxi to the gate, ~12 min through arrivals (plus passport control and bags if international), then your drive with live traffic, parking and the transfer. The when-to-leave planner does it for you, with live delays.
